Basic facts about yourself.
Thought I try one of these challenges to see if I can breathe some life into this blog of mine. (See point 7.)
Here it goes:
1. I'm thoroughly antisocial. It's not
rooted in a diagnosis, and I have no problem spending time with other
people, but it doesn't give me anything. I have no desire to be close
to anyone and the only problems I've ever had with this was when I
was younger and believed I had to pretend I enjoyed other peoples
company for the rest of my life. I'm also quite happy that a show
like Big Bang Theory has popped into popular culture as it's easier
to compary myself to Sheldon Cooper than list everything I don't like
(which is a very long list).
I share an apartment with my best friend, though. I guess every Holmes needs a Watson.
2. I have a lifelong obsession with
circuses and freak shows. I have oppressed this for years as my
recently-turned-vegetarian teenage self didn't believe she was
allowed to openly like anything with a history of animal cruelty. I
have a few more facets now, though. I eat fish and love taxidermy and
am letting myself explode with glee every time I hear Entry of the
Gladiators.
3. I am quite crafty and refuse to buy
things I might be able to make myself.
This usually leads to me never getting
them, as I have a horrible habit of not finishing things I start.
(Which is basically why I'm doing this
challenge.)
4. I like collecting things, and am a
hoarder in the best possible way.
5. I can be quite obsessed with
cleanliness. I don't necessary love to clean, but I do love clean
things, and to me anyone who hates to clean is by definition a filthy
animal.
6. I utterly dislike animalistic
tendencies in other people, to me most people come off as a sweaty,
stupid, copulating group of neanderthals. Evolve, people.
(It can't be that hard to oppress those
animalistic urges, I can't say I've experienced many in 25 years of
life.)
7. I am a Trekkie. Or a Niner really,
as DS9 is to me the only truly great Trek-series.
8. My favourite band is Sparks, I've
seen them live twenty-six times, met them three times and have two
Sparks-related tattoos.
9. I am studying to be a librarian, but
my dream job would be in a dark basement archive where I wouldn't
necessary have to talk to anybody all day and just be able to work in
peace.
10. I love pigs, and think baby piglets
are a million times cuter than human babies (which are gross and look
like miniature old people).
(I got all the pictures off my Instagram, so they might not be spot on on all the points,
but it's what I had to work with. Look me up on there if you like, I'm beaverolindy.)
